architecturally with my ceiling measuring 38 liener feet would nine recess light be to many to place? I have a tray ceiling .

They are in my basement, in a drop ceiling. They are all 100 watt bulbs. They all don’t go off at once. Each one goes off at a time, so all four are on sometimes, then just two are on and sometimes they all go out. Anyone have any idea what to do ?

The lights are turned permanatley off. HELP!

I just recently moved into a townhouse.
and in the bedroom, there is a plug for a ceiling fan to go, however i just want to hang paper lanterns from the ceiling and plug them in without having to trail the cords down the wall..

Is there any way that I can attach them through the ceiling fan outlet??
A way that possibly doesn’t involve me having to call a professional to do it??

Thank you!!!

I currently have four recessed ceiling cans or "hi hats" with GE Reveal R20’s (floodlights) in there and while the quality of light is good, it looks like the bulb is sitting a little too deep giving each one a spotlight affect. Should I use physically larger bulbs like an R30, R20’s with a higher wattage, or can I adjust the height of the existing lights within the fixture?

How and Where do I buy the glass to cover the light bulb? 1 Glass cover broke on my ceiling and 1 free standing light also. Usually what is the cost for something like this?

It keeps on happening no matter what brand of bulbs I use,

See Figure B. Insted of a standard socket I want to connect a series of recessed ceiling lights (6)

I am putting the rope lights behind crown molding. I am installing an outlet behind the crown that the lights will be plugged in to. If I wire a dimmer switch to the outlet will it dim the rope lights? Will dimming the rope lights work?

there are two grey wires in the light no longer being used and also a green and yellow wire unused, the old light fitting could take six bulbs but this new light is a single fitting.

Our basement is not currently finished and we are currently looking into finishing it. Should we put recessed lights in before or after we put up a dry wall ceiling?

Can anyone suggest a site or give quick tips on how to repair a non-working light (1 of 4) on a ceiling fan?

All the sites I’ve found so far just give instructions on installing the fan.

Hi, I want to build a studio in a garage, but I’m having trouble finding lights that can be mounted up on a ceiling so that they would shine from above downwards and diagonally at cars below. Can anyone please suggest some type of lights and where I can purchase them?

for a switch for ceiling fans with lights on it. So i could dim the light and keep the fan on high. I’m lost on finding what type of switch i need, i have looked for dimmer switches but they only dim the lights or just the fans. Plz help.

My apartment has no overhead lights or ceiling fans. Do they make lights/ceiling fans that can be hung on the ceiling, but plugged into wall outlets? Thanks.

We have a ceiling fan with three light sockets attached. ONE of those sockets seems to burn out bulbs early. Filament bulbs last a few weeks, CFL bulbs have even shorted out! What is going on???
The other two sockets are fine. Those bulbs never burn out.

Ceiling is approx. 8′x8′, recessed about a foot (i.e., 9 ft. high) and has ten 4-ft. fluorescent lights. I’d like to do a grid or something with glass/plastic inserts to cover the fluorescents. Where can I find materials for this?

I have large room, 2 separate lights are in it. Their both controlled by one light switch. I want to take 1 light out and replace it with a ceiling fan with a light kit in it also. If I hook the black to black, and the white to white, will I be able to use the fan when the lights are off ? How do you wire to have both lights go off with the switch, but still have electric to use fan at night? Please help me!

Without breaking them?
