Ceiling fan works but lights do not?
Our ceiling fan lights do not work, but the fan does. We have checked the wiring in the ceiling fan and the wall switch and everything looks fine. (However, I am by far a novice at this). There is a double wall switch one for the light and one for the fan Any suggestions?

yes, change the light bulb~!
are the light bulbs any good?
could the light bulbs just be burnt out. i know it seems so simple but always check the bulbs!
are there any cords attached to the fan and light.. that maybe someone pulled to turn the light off one time, instead of just flipping the switch..? This could be a simple possibility
Double check all wiring in both the switch and the fan.
There must be wiring for the lights from the fan.
Make sure that the double switch is wired correctly.
Replace the switch for the lights.
did you check the bulbs? also all the fans i have ever seen also have a light switch on the fan. did you look and if it does made sure that that was turned on? it also could be the wall switch.
fix it

The light assembly has a plug connector to the fan assembly, you need to take the two pieces apart and be certain the plug connector is tight. Pull gently on every wire in the fan box and in the fan assembly. If you still have trouble, call a qualified professional electrician. I hope that they just quit and this is not a new installation.
the blue wire hooks up to the black not the white wire
