Household electrical problem – my living room ceiling lights don’t work?
I have checked the fuse box trip switch and replaced the bulbs but no luck. What should I do?

My first test, since you have replaced more than one lamp would be to test the switch for power and operation, does the ‘click’ feel normal? If not replace the switch, or turn off mains, remove switch and put both red/brown wires into same terminal, put mains back on- if the light works you need to replace the switch. If not, further investigation is required, call an electrician as it could be numerous things!
Is there a two way switch that is midway on or off? Could be bad switch, any thing else better call an electrician
Call an electrician. There can be many reasons why they stop working.
Get a cheap circuit tester (most are just two wires with a light on it) With circuit power off, take out the light fixture, carefully.
Turn power back on. CAREFULLY, check the wires to the fixture with the tester to see if power is getting to the light. (Touch one tester wire each to the power wires. DON’T TOUCH THEM WITH YOUR HANDS!) If it is, then there is something wrong with the fixture. It would probably be cheaper to replace it.
If not, go to the switch and see if it is getting power. Again, CAREFULLY, check the switch’s incoming power. If it is, then the switch needs replaced. If not….it’s somewhere in the wiring to that switch.
It’s probably a bad fixture.
