check the bulbs
your light chain is connected to a switch which has probably gone bad. Your only option is to replace the switch. They sell a generic ceiling fan light switch at any hardware store.
You just have to make sure the power to the entire ceiling fan is off when you change it. To get to the switch you have to remove the light kit screws and let the light hang. There should be two wires going to the switch that’s sticking. You just unscrew the wire nuts and remove the nut holding the old switch on.
Install the new switch and hook the wires back up. Screw on the light kit and you’re done.
Hope this helps.
On most of the ceiling fans I’ve installed there are two hot wires t be connected to the one hot wire coming from the switch. The wire coming from the switch is black and the ones inside the fan are black and another color (usually blue). One of the wires powers the fan and the other powers the lights. It sounds to me like the one powering the lights has come loose. If you are confident in your repair skills you can remove the fan and check but remember to turn the power off at the breaker first.
bulb may be burnt out or the wire going to that light fixture came loose on it…. try a new bulb , if that dont work, turn off power and take off light fixture and check wires!!!!
there are plugs to hook up eclectrical to the light in side the housing some time it came loose check it out
