We’re looking at adding 4 sets of halogen track lights to a room. Each set contains four 50 watt halogen lights. (200 watts per 4′ section.) I’d like to add them to a single run of track around 16′ in length. Portfolio lighting doesn’t specify the maximum lights per circuit. "Consult an electrician." (Item #233131) Can I put all 16 lamps on one circuit? If I divide them, how many circuits do I need?
all I see are countless lantern/box style lights. I want the smallish halogen lights that are designed for indoors…..but there are only a couple.
any help?
thx
will not be rained on, it’s covered. I just don’t want a big brass box with a bulb inside it….that looks like crap.
I installed a dimmer for track lights. The lights will turn on and off but, when I try and dim the lights they make a hissing sound. What could be the problem?
The dimmer is an Aspire slide dimmer rated for 600w and I have 6 50watt MR16 halogen lights… Also, if it helps the track light is connected to a 120v power receptacle which is connected to the switch where I tryed to put a dimmer.
My kitchen’s ceiling lights are warm fluorescent tubes. Is it okay to have under cabinet lights of color temperature different from that of fluorescent, like halogen lights? Or, are there any non-fluorescent under cabinet lights that have the same color temperature of warm fluorescent kitchen light?
