I found a pendant light that I’d like to buy, but it is a plug-in light that I would hang from my ceiling with hooks. I’d rather not do this since I don’t want to put any unnecessary holes in my ceiling. So is it possible to cut the plug off and attach these wires to the wires in the electrical box that is already installed?
thanks.
I’m remodeling a family farmhouse and want to use these to retain some old character. I only have the glass — the saucer type. They have three holes around the perimeter of the glass, so I’m guessing they hung from the original ceiling fixtures by beaded chain or something.
I’m semi-handy and can wire. Are there new fixtures I could buy that hang like this so I could change out the glass? Or should I make something from scratch, and how?
We have a new island and want to install 3 pendant lights above it. We have removed the old single existing light fixture however this hole is not in the correct location for the 3 new lights so we need to make 3 new "holes" and run the wiring for the new lights. Can anyone give us advice on how to go about this? The bedrooms/2nd floor is above the kitchen. Thanks!
