I’m looking to add a little color without replacing the shades, which I have researched and realized it will cost about a shade for the colors I want. I have so many shades, it would save me a lot of money if I could paint them myself. The existing shades are white semi-translucent glass. I’d like to add an aqua color to them, either solid or in a pattern, which may look better to hide the brush strokes)
We’re building on a large extension and had some input from an interior designer. She recommended strongly that we use a local lighting consultants to advice on type, placing etc of lights. We’ve never heard the term before and our friends think we’re mad to spend money on this. Has anyone used one and if so would you recommend it?
Phew, that’s a lot of questions Gare – I’ll have to think about them. Makes me wonder if the LC idea is more suitable for a total new build or a suite of offices. We just don’t want to make any mistakes – maybe we just need a better interior designer!
