What is the maximum wattage load I can add onto track lighting?
Can the electrical wire in the wall support up to a total of 300 watts? or 6 50 watt halogen light bulbs on the track?

if you are in the U.S. the code says that the track it self must be rated for 20 amps (2400watts) but the wire supplying the track are most likely 14 gage witch is rated for 15 amps (1800watts) so yes you can put 300watts of light on the track would not go much more than that because of other draw on the circuit
